ADAPTATION - Greatest movie ever!
Today i saw ADAPTATION, the new Kaufman/Jonze film. I must say that, in my opinion, this is the perfect movie. It is so aware of itself and so true and funny that i cannot help but love it. It blurs the line between what is real and what is not. In the end you are left wondering if all that really did happen and when it all turned to fiction. In some sense, I would say that this is not a movie at all... its a visual screenplay (you have to see it to undertsand what I mean). This film has just skyrocketed itself to the top my my list... simply brilliant.
On a side note.. stay until the end of the credits, there's a nice little surprise for those of you who wait. AND GO SEE IT NOW!!!

I like Nic Cage...I forgive him for his brief marriage to Elvis' kid!!
Hopefully Lisa Marie has left the building..for good!!
PS..Is this film oscar worthy or is too weird for the anal retentive academy??

shanester - I've read on several occasions that this is an "insider" movie. The academy will be the ones that probably get the most out of it.
Though that doesn't really mean much

They took a chance on Pulp Fiction back in '94 which was very unconventional
Maybe they will with this one too..Let's hope..The academy needs a major shake up!
I'm tired of seeing Tom Hanks and Russell Crowe
Ps..There good actors I just don't want to see there mugs for a while

As for the side note... dang it all, I didn't stay to the end of the credits. Oh well, I am definately going to see this again when it hits wide release.

I'm dying to see this film.
I'm looking forward to Cris Cooper's performance, since I've always thought that he was a terrific actor, and also since he's getting alot of Oscar buzz.

Three of those theaters are in LA, and if you have the time, I definately recommend that you go see it. One is at The Grove, the 2nd is in the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica, and the 3rd is in Century City I think.

Although I'm disappointed that Equilibrium did NOT open here in Toronto, we did get Adaptation, and I loved it. It was very smart, original and funny. I really appreciated how intelligent it was.
Highly recommended!

Very good movie although
This is Nicholas Cage's best performance yet in my opinion. Can you tell me what happens after the credits? I didn't stay. I can't wait to see this on dvd and hear the commentary. Hopefully they'll get Cage to do one along with Jonze and writers.

..just saw adaptation...that was the best damn movie of the year and was completely ****ing hillarious throughout.
Loved the setup, and even loved the
it was all completely great, though for someone who isn't paying attention, could turn out being kind of annoying.
That being said, excellent excellent flick.
Now then, let's all go make phone noises.

I'm not sure there's any way to talk about this movie without blacking out entire posts. So...
My better half agrees that this is the best film of all time. I'm dodging the question by maintaining that this is something other than a film. It's like a
or something.
