8 Crazy Nights-- how badly will this flop?
Looks to be way too crude for parents to take their kids, but way too pathetic for adults (even Sandler fans). So who the heck is supposed to see this thing?

I agree. I don't see it succeeding except maybe with die-hard Sandler fans. Although I enjoy much of Sandler's work, I just can't picture myself paying to see this.

Well from what I 've witnessed crudeness hasn't stopped parents from taking their kids too see other Sandler movies. However I don't think it will do to well going up against Harry Potter and whatever that crap is that Disney is releasing. Still I plan on going to see it.

I don't know, a lot of people including myself thought Mr. Deeds would do badly, and it made quite a bit of cash. I'll probably catch it with my friends over thanksgiving break.

This movie is 71 minutes long! That means you'll get at least 20-25 minutes of previews. Oh joy!
The movie looks really bad. The previews show Sandler being mean to people, and insulting people, being mean, insulting some more, being mean, insul.......you get the drift. It doesn't look funny. If it looked funny, then maybe I would see it, but it looks terrible.
I won't be seeing this one.

I've yet to see any commercials that make this look funny. All I see is Sandler doing his character voices for the old man and old woman. Isn't a Sandler movie supposed to be funny? This will bomb. The spoof commercial of 8 Mile was pathetic.

Seriously... why was this movie animated?? Why not just make another live-action Adam Sandler Comedy? Oh wait... it's because they generally kind've suck, and the studio maybe thought an animated version might appeal to some kind of new audience.
Punch-Drunk love is my favourite movie of the year so far... but I have absolutely no desire to see this.

I think it'll make about 50-70 Million - which isn't too shabby.
It'll do much better than Punch-Drunk Love (though it's not an "Adam Sandler film") who's boxoffice total will probably only crack the $17 million mark this weekend.
It's a real shame that such a wonderful film like PDL, which manages to actually make critics admire Sandler's performance, can't get better boxoffice results than the typical brain-dead Sandler crap.

Most american adults will think that it's a kids movie, and wont go.
Most american adults with kids will think it's not suitable for kids, and not take them.
I don't see this film having much of an audiance, except the "rauncy teen" crowd, but unless the movie has the word "pie" in it, then it generally flops... and the fact it's animated it going to cut off a lot of people from that crowd anyways. "wha? it's a cartoon?"

It depends on what you consider a flop. Judging by the previews, if anyone anywhere at any time actually pays money to see this movie, it did better than it should have.

Two words: Bebe's Kids. Adult animated films do not work well.
Also Sandler's character looks sadistic in this film. Pushing an old man down a hill in a port o pody? I'm sure the magic of Chanukah will make his character have a change of heart, but will anyone care? I think I'll save my money for Solaris and LOTR:TTT.

Im going with...it wont flop because of die hard Sandler fans. Hell this movie could be 2 hours of Sandler going "Abbbeyy Doobeeeee" and the film would make its budget and them some back.

You're also overlooking the lucrative Jewish demographic...yeah right.
