Food of the Gods

Cannot believe I actually spent good money on this stink. And my cousin was broke so I had to buy his ticket too.

Man, has no one else seen Never Too Young To Die?

Most of the movies I've seen listed here are Oscar worthy compared to that train wreck of a "film."

Easy. Batman And Robin. The only film I ever got up and walked out on. It was like Chinese water torture. Although that probably would've been more entertaining.

Before that the previous title holder was The Crying Game. Another suckaroo.

I'm seeing stuff like Battlefield Earth and Waterworld come up.

But, oh, my brothers, envy me, for my eyes have seen the worst movie ever made. So awful that it makes Ed Wood look like Stanley Kubrick.

It's called "King King Fu."

The backstory to this thing is that it was made in Wichita, Kansas, and took some guy ten years to make it. The high concept is -- you guessed it -- "King Kong" meets "Kung Fu." The reality is you have some guy wandering around downtown Wichita in a gorilla suit that looks like his grandmother sewed up one night.

The acting and "cinematography" is below-amateurish in a "we can split a keg and shoot in our backyard with a Super-8 camera" kind of way. The single best performance is by a former children's show host who used to play "Major Astro" on one of the local channels. And he's doing a piss-poor John Wayne impression that couldn't get him a free beer in a bar.

I dare anyone to find a worse movie.

By the way, I found a review here.

I sort of wish someone like Something Weird Video would put this out.

I've always been very careful to check out reviews before going to the theater, but there've been a few bad ones that've slipped through over the years.

Mars Attacks (Tim, how could you?!)
Shape of Things To Come (a low budget turd of a movie that came out in the mid-80's I only went to see this because of a few cool FX shots in an issue of Starlog)
Superman IV (You'd think I would've learned my lesson after III)
Star Trek V (speaking of movies with numbers...)
Godzilla '98 (leave it to the Americans to spend a $100 million and still fuck up a classic monster)

losely followed by The Pest. The only reason I didn't walkout was because my brother was laughing his ass off and I was trying to figure out how his brain worked to find that crap funny.

I love The Pest. I have seen it about a dozen times and I still laugh hysterically.

dumb and dumberer

I mean I knew it was going to be bad, but not that bad, and I only paid $5 so it wasn't too bad.

Cold Creek Manor! Beside wanting the time back, I want my movie back as well. We had to see the end of the movie, but we pretty much fast forwarded through the whole 2nd half.

Requiem for a Dream. Actually I borrowed it so I didn't pay money but its toll on my time and brain was quite expensive.
