List the references to previous Bond films in Die Another Day

What are all the references to previous Bond films...(references as opposed to recycled plots and recurring motifs..ie..no destruction of evil villian gian liar...

Halle Berry coming out of water is a reference to Ursual Andress coming out of water in Dr. No.

Q's gadget's room - has tiny copter from Octopussy, Rosa Klebb's steel toe shoes, an aligator (also from Octopussy?) I'm sure there were more in there that I missed.

Bird book - a refence to how Flemming came up with the name J.B.

Parachute with British flag - reference to Spy Who Loved Me

Q says that he's giving Bond his 20th watch. Reference to the number of Bond films.

Halle Berry torture device similar to the one in Goldfinger.

Diamonds are Forever - Graves says "Diamonds are for everyone" at Blades. Also, in the article Bond reads on the plane, it says "Diamonds are Forever" at the bottom.

Thunderball - Bond uses the same rebreather underwater.

Also, not from the films, but Miranda Frost very closely resembles Gala Brand from the novel Moonraker. In fact, I think that was originally what her character was called.

Helicopter is from You Only Live Twice

Breathing thing from Thunderball, shown in the lab and when Bond goes underneath the ice.

Thunderball jetpack also in Q lab.

Aston Martin w/ Ejector Seat referencing Goldfinger. Also the whole conversation about the car was a reference to Goldfinger when 007 and Q discuss the Aston Martin "I never joke about my work".

And I think (this might be a stretch) that the diamonds mentioned in Die Another Day (African conflict diamonds) may be a reference to where Blofeld was getting his diamonds pipelined in Diamonds Are Forever.

I think both the Octopussy and Thunderball vehicles were there. One was on the floor when Bond first came in. The other was hung from the ceiling....

I think I'm right but not 100% sure.

Yeah the Micro Jet from Octopussy was hanging on the wall in the background. Also the "shoe knife" from From Russia With Love was thrown in.

Let's see, off the top of my head...

Dr No - Halle Berry in the bikini w/knife on her hip coming out of the water.

From Russia With Love - various weapons & gadgets

Goldfinger - ejector seat

Thunderball - breather unit

You Only Live Twice - plot point
Spoiler:
Moon/Graves is still alive, having "lived twice"

Diamonds are Forever - The Icarus satellite (pretty much the same plot device from DAF)

The Spy Who Loved Me - parachute with the Union Jack

Licence To Kill - plot point
Spoiler:
Bond goes "rogue" after escaping from MI6 and goes on a personal mission

There are some others - especially gadgets, etc.

What weapons and gadgets from From Russia with Love...? I was looking for the briefcase in Q's shop but didn't see it....

Not sure why they had Rosa Klebb's shoe as it wasn't issued by Q branch (or was it???!!)

So, now that Desmond Lewelyn is dead and John Cleese is no longer funny, are the filmmakers going to fill all the Q briefings with "wity" self reflexive nostalgia? Oh, I can't wait....

Oh Bond, cling to that past as hard as you can. It's all you've got.

They didn't have nearly enough Roger Moore references. There's this ridiculous R.M. backlack...don't understand...he wasn't Connery but he did make 7 fun movies...not an easy feet...

Any Lazembery references...

Well, you mentioned Klebb's shoe. I'm sure they confiscate plenty of weapons from their opponents. Wasn't Bond playing with the brief case with the krife exposed in the lab, when Q yelled at Bond to pay attention?

Some one mentioned in another thread Bond stopping to eat a grape at the clinic similar to what Bond did in Thunderball (also at a clinic also for
Spoiler:
identity changes
).

Not to be nit-picky, but it's actually an autogyro and not a helicopter. The best info I found: http://www.avnet.co.uk/home/nickh/guide.htm

Pierce Brosnan sucked...I think it was intended as a Lazenby reference.

The pre-title of Octopussy had a similar plot point of the pre-title of D.A.D. - Bond looking like someone else...

You are correct. Besides, it is the one from Octopussy, not YOLT.

I remembered another reference to Goldfinger. In Cuba, Bond drinks mint julipe (sp). He drinks the same while he's a guest at Goldfinger's ranch in Kentucky.

My favorite reference in the Q sequence:

"just a flesh wound"

The jet pack is from Thunderball

"Just a flesh wound" is Python. And I'm assuming it doesn't appear in any bond flick.
