What films have NO opening credits?

Noticed this when rewatching Vanilla Sky - No opening credits, unless you count a Paramount logo.

I'm sure everyone noticed this during Apocalypse Now.

I've heard 2002's The Bourne Identity also hasno opening credits...

So what films, apart from those listed, have this interesting touch? And why?

Ghostbusters movies had the name, but no credits. Ghostbusters II didnt even have that - just the No-Ghosts logo.

Outside of the title, The GodFather.

BTW, is it still against Director's Guild rules to not have credits roll at the begining of the film.

Long movies....its an easy way to cram a few extra minutes of narrative in there.

I don't think Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring had credits. Production and distribution don't count. I think it just says "NewLine Cinema" and "Wingnut Films". (I'm out of town and don't have it with me)

'The Ring' had no credits. Everything is at the end. I was expecting at least the title at a certain point after the film begins.
I think this thread refers to films with ZERO credits at the beginning, like Apocalypse Now and Vanilla Sky.

This one film I saw just said “Mystery Clock Productions” and then “Dark City”.

Everything else was at the end.

Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love.

PTA doesn't like opening credits (neither do I), but he had no choice but to include opening credits in Hard Eight (as well as change the name from "Sydney").

Truffaut's Fahrenheit 451 not only has no opening credits, but the end credits do not appear on screen, they are spoken - perfectly in keeping with the subject matter!

The trend as of late is to put the credits at the end. Happens all the time. You'll notice that they often read like opening credits: "Universal Pictures Presents...A Film by Alan Smithee...Tom Hanks...Julia Roberts...A DRINK BEFORE LUNCH...etc."

Actually, it didn't have an opening credits sequence, but it did have credits that played while we follow Indy through the jungle.

unless you count the title, Jay and silent bob doesn't have them. A lot of films don't, I just can't remember which ones do and don't

Leaving Las Vegas had credits...just not Opening ones

They were about 15-20 minutes into the film. Thought that was a bit interesting.
