I thought he was working on an IMAX film about Titanic. I haven't heard anything about a new feature, though.

About a year or so ago, a friend of mine saw Cameron leaving a museum here in LA with a huge armful of books on Ancient Egypt, like 10-15 big, huge books. We were all hoping that he was going to start working on something to do with ancient Egypt, but I haven't heard a peep about anything in a long while.

That Acient Egypt project would be cool, if done right. And the Titanic IMAX sounds good too. I really hope one of those two happen.

And isn't he working on Solaris with Steve Soderbourough(sp?)?

I read an article in USA Today that he had screened some footage from his IMAX Titanic project earlier this week... I forget for whom and what it is called, but the special thing is that it's in 3-D. It was filmed using a special dual camera system for use in deep water designed by his brother, who also developed the deep water cameras for 1997's 'Titanic.'

He's exec. producer on the flick, what level of creative intertaction he has on the film I don't know ( but I read that it was little).

He was planning on directing Solaris until he heard of Soderberg's interest so he turned the helm over to him. I heard recently that his next directing job was going to be for an anime flick.

I thought the IMAX project was mars-related. Maybe I was misinformed?

I wish he would have done Spider-Man instead of Sam Rami...The movie would have been better in my opinion

Yeah, instead of a Bruce Campbell cameo we'd have a Bill Paxton cameo.

or even Jeanette Goldstein.

I like James Cameron

But i loved Sam Raimi's Spider-man as well.

Kinda torn about which i would have liked better.

I agree with UAIOE.

But if Cameron had done Spiderman, we'd still be waiting for it
