Leonardo DiCaprio - Gangs of New York
Keanu Reeves - Bram Stoker's Dracula

These guys in these films could not hold an accent to save their lives.

I would have to say Cate Blanchette in The Lord of The Rings. Great actress, but she was too "Spock-like" in the movies. Perhaps that wasn't entirely her fault, but she came across as very robotic and monotone.
Huh. I thought she was one of several absolutely perfect casting decisions.

Really? I loved that movie. Best comedy of the year, so far.

I loved the movie as well. The chemistry between Rudd and Segal was great. Hilarious movie.

I love that movie.

I didn't. She wasn't the Galadriel I knew from the books. That being said; I really can't think of another actress who could have pulled it off either . I think they needed a real Elf for that role .

I think Glenn Close would have been a good choice....maybe too old?

Too old? Galadriel was over 8,500 years old . No seriously; in The Silmarillion and The Lord of The Rings, Galadriel is described as being the most beautiful being (other than the Half-Maia Lúthien) that ever lived. No offense, but I do not believe Glenn Close accurately fits that description .

While I didn't like the movie as much as I expected, I do agree about Rudd and Segel having great chemistry. My problem is that it shouldn't have been Rudd. Jay Baruchel, maybe?

Jessica Alba in Fantastic Four and the sequel. Rachel McAdams should have been sue Storm.

Terrence Howard as James Rhodes in Iron Man.

Although I think she is really gorgeous, Scarlett Johanssen shouldn't be Black Widow in the next Iron Man film. Emily Blunt should have gotten the part.

Kirsten Dunst in the Spider-Man films.

Kate Bothworth as Lois Lane.

I actually liked Kate Bosworth in Superman Returns, but I don't know if it was because I thought she was a good fit for the role or because I despise Margot Kidder so much that seeing anyone else in the role was an improvement.

And I'm sure this has been mentioned in this thread already but I'll throw out my go-to answer for this question: Shelley Duvall in The Shining. She almost ruined a great film, single handedly!

Singling out the casting of Cate Blanchett in the LOTR trilogy seems a little odd when one considers Miranda Otto as Eowyn (instead of the originally-planned Kate Winslet), Hugo Weaving as Elrond, and especially the mind-blowing awfulness of David Wenham as Faramir (when Ethan Hawke and others were originally being considered for the role).

I'm sure you'll love him in Alice in Wonderland then.
