1998 was a year of so many great films:

Lost in Space, A Night at the Roxbury, Practical Magic, Sphere, Soldier, Psycho, Patch Adams, and You've Got Mail.

It's a tie between A Thin Red Line and Rushmore

His behavior has nothing to do with his perceivable talents, however. Although admittedly I think he was insane to think he would win the Palm D'Or with Ulysses' Gaze. Not a highlight of his career.

^ - I hate to bump my own thread, but hopefully we can get a few more votes in and I'll total it and start 1997 tonight.

I really hope The Thin Red Line does not win this one.

With that said, my vote goes to Rushmore.

A Bug's Life entirely gets my vote.

Just for the hell of it though, my runners-up are:
The Truman Show
A Civil Action
Saving Private Ryan

Alright... a little suprising here to me, although I knew it had a decent following around here, I didn't expect Rushmore (with 4.833 votes) to be leading.

But with The Thin Red Line close (at 4.33) and American History X (at 3.5) close behind, with more votes, things could easily change.

Keep 'em coming!

I don't know why everyone liked Rushmore so much. Maybe I just didn't get it.
