Trying to get the first 50 spines done before I attempt the front / back

JoeyOhhhh 11-13-02 12:09 PM

I was thinking of creating custom covers for the animated Disney titles to give them a more uniform look, and number each one.

Anyone here interested, otherwise I'll scrap the idea. I was aiming to start this right before Christmas.

Also anyone with Disney poster scans, they are greatly appreciated.

Opinions please.

Cool idea. Will the AFI top 100 always remain the same list of films, or will new ones potentially knock others off the list?

That's a lot of Disney titles! Lots of work for you, and much printer ink for us.

Unless you stuck to the theatrical features, and ignored the direct to video sequels. It would be nice if you used the original poster artwork for each one, to add a feeling of nostalgia.

From AFI.com:
"The list is the centerpiece of AFI's historic celebration of the first 100 years of American movies."

So I guess it would be a collection of the best 100 movies from 100 years. :)

Where can I purchase a 7 disc case without paying an arm and a leg for shipping?

charlesp 11-13-02 02:37 PM

Up to 50 on the spines... missing alot of poster art tho :(

The front covers will be as follows (if all goes well), with the original poster art where possible.

Hey charlesp,

I don't know if you're looking for full size poster images to use for your AFI Top 100, but Tim Dirk's filmsite.org website has a section devoted to the AFI Top 100. Here's the link:

Anyone with a majority of the Disney animated classics and DVD that have some way of capturing a screen shot, could you please help me out. I have basically gotten down the layout for the covers, and I need atleast one screen from each movie, JPG format.

Please let me know.

great job everyone!

would anyone be willing to make covers for any of the following?:

Metallica: Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge
Eric Clapton: One More Car One More Rider
Jurassic 5: Bonus DVD from the 'Power In Numbers' CD
Eminem: Bonus DVD from 'The Eminem Show' CD
WWF(E): Bonus DVD from the 'Forceable Entry' CD
Red Hot Chili Peppers: By The Way DVD Single

any help with those would be greatly appreciated!

also, 2 questions:

what program(s) does everyone use to print these covers?

and

what kind/size paper are you using?

thanks again!

Can someone explain how to add images on these posts? I can't seem to get it to work and I would like to preview some covers.
