Lawrence of Arabia and Cleopatra plopped through my letterbox this morning and they were only shipped on tuesday... ...4 days! -eek-:D
I've always averaged between 7 and 14 days with my previous orders with amazon(even longer just recently), so this is a personal record. Interestingly they both have a London return address sticker on the packaging... ...are they now shipping from the UK?? ...surely not! |
I'm having lots of problems w/amazon shipping lately... Long delivery times and packages getting stuck @ customs. I almost never had stuck packages before; seems to me like they changed something in the shipping process.

I got my Charlie's Angels on time and also a $5 off $30 coupon.Well i am hoping for another free shipping offer to take more of my shopping to Amazon! :)

So far so good. Amazon has always been good to me with shipping. I receive my packages within 3-5 days. Latest is 7 days. When shipped USPS they arrive faster. I usually avoid UPS.

My opinion...
when the offer free itnl shipping they send it from the closest location you live. They have some stocks, more than usual...and it comes from close..that's why i received red planet too in 7 days...and it takes usually 1 month...so... BTW this film is sh..... lol |

I am still waiting for Red Planet and Charlie's Angels! They shipped on the 26th but I still don't have them! It's crazy, usually it doesn't take much time!!! And yeah I live in Canada near Montréal so it is not very far!!! |
An Alice Cooper CD I ordered on or just before 24 March arrived today having taken the best part of three weeks to cross the Atlantic.
Fortunately I was using a $10 promotional coupon and a $5 gift certificate for completing an Amazon survey so all I paid was the inflated postage charge i.e nearly $8 compared with the less than $3 it actually costs them to send it.... |
FYI: Just posted an interesting thread (Amazon free shipping over $50 gives $10 off $50 (international):

It answers one question (how does that free shipping code apply internationally?) but I'm guessing that I wouldn't qualify to use a promotional numerical $10-off coupon as well because these things don't usually stack together.
Not looking a gift horse in the mouth but if I go over $30 in CDs I risk being hit for customs charges which can outweigh these discounts unfortunately. |
