Nova has Woo, Chow and other classics

Folks, I just got an email from Nova media. https://www.novamnm.com never bought from them before, but am surprised at what they have on their site.
  • Bullet in the Head
  • Many Stephen Chow films
  • Chow-yun Fat "on fire' movies.
  • other classics that I have not seen anywhere nor heard of any announcements
  • A korean box set of Wong Kar Wai movies - different than Criterions?
Many on sale (check out Winter Sale Festival) for 1/2 off, which makes those items significantly cheaper than anywhere else. Shipping is high, but I suspect buying a number of titles would minimize that impact.

Anybody order from this company?

Is this a sign that other labels (Eureka, 88, etc.) may get these in the future, or are these Nova exclusives?

Update: Never mind. Found reviews. Most are upscaled..Oh well. Packaging sure looks nice!

Like so many Blu-rays (etc.) being produced nowadays, these seem to do the trick for far too many collectors based largely on how pretty they are. Frankly it gets a little tiresome watching 'HK collectors' on YouTube all but shooting loads over Nova's releases – to the point where I've started unsubscribing. These aren't horrible releases, and seem to be legit, but there's so little to them other than the packaging. Some have minor archival supplements, but most get a trailer at best, or nothing. But hey, I'm continually surprised at the willingness of fans to literally buy anything, repeatedly, as long as it looks pretty on the shelf. Most of the titles in Nova's catalog could potentially be released by UK or US boutiques known for higher A/V standards and producing new extras.

Thanks for the review. I really don't care about packaging and plus Nova apparently has high shipping charges, makes it an easy pass for whenever they have sales.
