Parasite (2019)...anyone know of an English-friendly SE Blu-ray?
 

I so want more than just short q & a on US release. Anyone know of anything, talk of a SE somewhere, sometime soon, that is English-friendly? Thanks.

UK steelbook release June 2019
Listing for the steelbook states it will include both the Theatrical and B&W cuts, and is 2 disc whereas the regular release is 1 disc.
tHATS all I could find out.

Posted the German and French releases do not have english subs.

And I want a us 4k release ,Not going to happen anytime soon, :sad:

Not much info yet, just that it also includes a B@W version.
Not sure if I would be interested in a B@W version.
And I only buy a few steelbooks these days.

Own a few Artificial Eye steelbooks,I'll have to take look latter and see what extras they have,I know they are both region B.

That sb does look very nice. AI also did a LE SB Zatoichi and 13 assassins that are also nice looking.
I could always preorder and cancel latter,as I bet it is going to sell out fast.

Yeah, I’m not big into Steels anymore either and not sure this movie calls for B/W. It’s surreal. The drab colors, the poor, the rich, the somewhat muted color is what it’s all about (especially the bloody finale). I guess I’d be interested but don’t think it would be my preferred version. Amazon doesn’t even list 2 discs or B/W. I do hope there are significant extras...

This is NEON's highest grossing and most awarded movie, I'm sure they'll find a way to milk the releases.

What I find odd is that even South Korea doesn't have a special edition DVD or BD of Parasite. There's none listed on YesAsia.com or any Korean BD retailer.

It was just announced to be in the works. I wouldn't expect one until later this year,. Maybe Fall at the earliest, but that might be a stretch.

Producing bonus material, recording commentaries and such takes months.

Yeah suppose so. I’m still not sure if I’ll cancel the SteelBook. Really love the design and curious about b/w. And there could be extras...

Now might have to double dip for a Criterion release if it offers a substantial upgrade in extras(I bet it does) over the UK steelbook.
Only bummer is no 4k ultra from either one.

The uk steelbook is already going in and out of stock at Amazon.uk.

My Parasite SB shipped today from Amazon.uk. Almost canceled it and just buy it on 4k,but I do not see myself ordering much from UK anymore + it is a great looking sb.
Weird they offered me 30 days of free prime when going to check out the final price.Might see if it works on something I might want.

Surprise I received this movie today.They must have shipped it sooner,before I got the email update two days ago.
I know it is weird,but I might leave it sealed for awhile,and wait until I'm ready to watch the black and white version. I do not think the us 4k version has the B@W version.

i believe there is talk of this going Criterion, if i'm not mistaken. i'm sure that cut will be there or whoever releases the nice SE we will get eventually will have it. i'm not worried and will have it all eventually...
