For those people who send dvds to american friends us.buy.com now seems to only take orders from US billing and shipping addresses.....

We appreciate your interest in buy.com. We currently have buy.com Web
sites in Canada (www.canada.buy.com), and the United Kingdom
(www.gb.buy.com). At this time we are sorry that we can only accept
orders with bill and ship to addresses in the United States
(www.buy.com), Canada, and the United Kingdom. We are continually
striving to accommodate all of our customers, and hope that you will
continue to check back with us from time to time to check for the
launch
of additional international sites. Thank you for your patience.

We would like to advise that your order was cancelled due to being an
international order.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please write again if you have any other questions or concerns.

We look forward to serving you in the near future!

You mean someone from Canada can buy something from US buy.com and get billed in Canada?

It works for me.
I took the extra step of asking my cc company to add my US buddy's address to my cc's "memo" field as an alternate shipping address.
I then use my buddy's US address as my buy.com billing address.

Try opening a new account(new email address) that may work.
