Any canadians try the gift wrapping option at tower ? I was wondering if it was an effective method for bypassing customs. Info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

My giftwrapped order shipped 3 days ago. I'll post the results when I get the package.

Got the Tower package today. $10 in customs charges.

It was gift-wrapped, the customs label had "Gift" checked off, but a value of $25.

They seem to have opened the package anyway. There was no invoice in the package so they used the $25 to calculate the taxes.

Oh well, gonna stick to BN.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad I didn't waste any money on the gift wrapping option - those rotten S.O.B's at customs seem to follow the rule : "when in doubt charge em duty".
