This has always confused the hell out of me.
If I have up to volume 7 of the R1 releases where would I need to start with the R2's to kepp the series up to date?

Then you need to get "Family Guy: Season 9" (UK) which is titled "Family Guy: Volume 8" in the US.

Extras are the same on both, just PAL / NTSC region difference.
now, with "Family Guy: Season 10" (UK) and the upcoming "Family Guy: Volume 9" (USA), there is a difference:

UK features 15 episodes, including "Partial Terms Of Endearment" with commentary.
The US will have 14 episodes, with "Partial Terms..." not included. It was released as a stand-alone disc in the US already, and those extras on that separate DVD are not on the UK disc, except the commentary.

Thanks for the FYI
Looks like 8/9 is good to go for whichever region has the best price to pick it up but 9/10 does certainly present a pickle.

All the episodes in this set are 16x9 anamorphic, with English 5.1 audio, and this time English subtitles only. No European subs like the past sets.
This time no audio commentaries...
Since these were broadcast in HD, I wonder if when this set comes to the US if Fox will go with a Blu-ray release.
