Has anyone from the uk managed to join carclub, get their $15 gc to amazon and cancel???
I Still cant work it out! Cheers Dom |
Yeah, done it about 2 weeks ago. I used a made up address with the usual 90210 zipcode. The credit card number was that of my webcertificate. But I don't think they're giving away the $5 ones anymore. You could try with your normal credit card, you will get the GC, and they are a stand up company, so you'll have no probs cancelling by e-mail. Use a hotmail address or something.

I applied on monday, with my real CC number and billing information, a random zip code and state and some .com e-mail. I haven't received a GC up till now though.
If I don't get anything next week, I'll cancel the subscription. Anyone (non-USA) ever tried garageband BTW and got GC's? |
Yep SirCuit,
I've received a $50 Amazon.com GC from garageband.com. It took about a month to reach my inbox and no confirmation was sent by them in the meantime, but... it got there at the end. You really need to be patient with them! |
*update*
I just received the $15 Amazon promotional GC from carclub after nine days. I applied it to an order and it works! http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/cool.gif This proves you can use the carclub offer, even if you're not from the States. Note: I used my real CC number and billing address and a random zipcode and state name. Now the remaining challenge is getting them to cancel my membership. I've allready send them a message through my member page two days ago, but I haven't got any response to that yet. Should I use some other e-mail address? |
I tried using my real cc# and different post code but it just wint work. It says that the billing info does not match my card???
Im gonna try a web cert dom |
