Better DVD editions outside the US
I been doing a little research and have found that other countries get better dvd editions, and or packaging to films that are U.S. made yet they get better copies....like lets say Halloween remake has a 3 disc amazing set in Germany...
Point here is...do you guys know of any other Dvd's that have been left in the dust in the U.S. and get better releases else where?

Welcome to the board, velifornia!
There is an International DVD Forum that you can check out that discusses foreign releases. Better versions overseas, exclusives, early releases - search for it, they'll be discussed there.
In the meantime, I suggest you check out http://www.dvdcompare.net/ and http://www.dvdbeaver.com/ - two websites that compare and review DVDs and Blu-rays from all the regions. The former is more specs and special features-based whereas the latter is concerned more with picture and sound quality.
The easiest method would be to find what movies mean the most to you and search the forum or one of the sites I recommended to see if it's been reviewed and compared. Hypothetically speaking, that "amazing 3-disc set" may yet shortchange you - who knows, maybe it's been edited to fit German ratings, or taken from an inferior transfer to the US version.
I hope this helps. Best of luck!

Welcome to DVDtalk
Let me introduce you to the International Forum which is probably a more appropriate place for this question

It's a wide open question and there are probably tons of such discs but I'll throw in my most recent purchase, which was from amazon.co.uk. I got the Blu-Ray version of the Planet Earth set for just under $27 shipped (this is almost half the current price on amazon.com). The UK version has an extra disc that has extras not available on the domestic release and it's region free to boot.
