I want to pick up some classic Trek and have decided on the blu-ray sets. The problem is, I live in the UK and I'm not sure whether the discs here are region coded (I know the US ones are region free). I've been to dozens of shops but nobody is carrying the blus so I can't just look on the back of a box, and I've not had much luck finding a reliable statement online one way or the other.

Does anyone happen to know? If they are locked to region B, I'm going to import the US sets, but if I can buy the UK versions I'd like to grab them now before the upcoming VAT increase!

I don't have your answer, but thought you might be interested to know about the Barnes and Noble sale with the Region 1 sets. They are currently 50% off list and there is a 15% coupon that can be added floating around. I just picked up all three TOS Blu-rays as a set for $145 US after taxes.

I pick up region 2 items from Amazon UK from time to time due to some of the heavy discounts available there. However, I'm not sure how favorable it is going the other direction.

Amazon UK has the 3 sets on BD in stock, but they are expensive (almost 50 quid per season), VAT at 17.5 or 20 regardless. Just import the US titles for much less.
