Since the fiasco in 1999 with DHL Worldmail and not getting DVD's I switched to DHL International. This has been working fine, until now. I had 2 shipments sent to me, one on the 18th and one on the 22nd. The shipment sent on the 22nd arrived in 2 days. The shipment on the 18th still hasn't arrived.

I went onto Reel chat and 'spoke' with a rep. there, I was initially just asking for the tracking number so I could see where the package is (reasonable request, I believe), then I was told that she didn't have it. And proceeded to tell me to wait another 7 days before reporting the package missing. I confirmed that DHL delivers things in 1-4 business days, so why should I have to wait 7. We went in circles for a few minutes, and then I gave up.

I then called the 800 number (long distance from Japan) and spoke with someone and got the same run around. Finally I asked "Why am I paying so much extra in shipping?" I want to be able to track a package. She really didn't seem to care that my package was missing, she didn't seem to even want to track down the tracking number for me. She just said call us on friday if it doesn't arrive and we will refund the shipping. I want my DVD!!!!

So it seems that Reel still hasn't corrected their shipping problems. If the package is delivered on time then all is well...if not...might as well kiss it goodbye because noone wants to find out what the problem is.

........ if it weren't for Brandsforless I would shop only at Amazon.

sometime your package will be got hold by your customs, and probably 1-2 weeks. And this is not the fault of DHL. sometimes this does happend, espeically you ordered many DVDs at one time.

Geno - I feel your pain. I too am in Japan and paying the Int'l Priority shipping charges. Thank God for BFL indeed.

So far everything worked fine with Priority shipping except for my EWS dvd. But it arrived eventually (beyond 4 days).

I too have problems with Reel but most of the time they ship again and again, like I did not receive a dvd for 3 times and all the same title and they did refund me, but i hate waiting like 2 months for a dvd .But BFL does give us a big advantage though..and the coupons are the reason i shop at Reel
