Region 1 DVD releases from Canada not yet available in the US
Amazon.ca won't ship a R1 title that is yet available to the US. Are there any other options resources that I can look into? I don't have any contacts in CA to send me the DVDs. I have check ebay but this is not an option price wise that works for me. Thanks, E

Really? I tried to purchase Heartland Season 2 from Amazon.ca and was advised that they would not ship to the US.

I actually just found another Amazon marketplace retailer that will send to the US. Thanks for your note. E

Afraid I don't have any contacts/friends in Canada. Was giving that some thought. I am going to wait on the purchase and I have spent too much money lately and I suspect that the show as it is now airing in the US it will get a S2 DVD release in the US in 2011.
Thanks for any suggestions and recommendations.

Amazon.ca (themselves) will ship anywhere. Marketplace sellers, however, are free to restrict their selling activities as they see fit. This goes for Amazon.com, .ca., .co.uk, etc. You have to check the individual listings to see if international shipping is available for marketplace items, no matter which Amazon locality you're browsing.
CDPlus.com are another good Canadian etailer. I tend to prefer them over Amazon.ca as their total delivered price usually works out cheaper for me.

No, I tried to get Amazon.ca to ship to me in the US and was denied. I later tried and found a market place seller that would ship to 97701.
I must have made a mistake, however, as I was able to put through another order on Amazon.ca to ship to my zip.
Thanks for those who offered comments and suggestions.

Canada has better quality releases of the show Due South with subtitles and they also have Lucky Luke Goes West, the movie, with English subtitles. Lucky Luke Goes West has yet to see a U.S. release.

Apparently the recent re-issue of Scream is 16:9 anamorphic from Alliance Home Video.
The packaging looks identical to the old one except it states "2.35:1 Enhanced for 16X9 Televisions" on the back cover.
I think the US version is still 4:3 letterbox, non-anamorphic.

Which Scream version ? I looked on amazon.ca and there are a lot of different editions. Also, I would love to be able to get the first 5 seasons of Are You Afraid Of The Dark here in the U.S. On amazon.ca, they're available but only used and for really high prices.
