"Shanghai" (2010), Hong Kong Blu-ray and DVD
 

The Mikael Hafstrom-directed drama is set for release on Hong Kong Region A Blu-ray and R3 DVD Oct. 21st, available from the usual suspects. Starring John Cusack, Gong Li, Chow Yun-fat, Ken Watanabe, and many others!

Troubled production, mixed reviews, but apparently Gong Li still shines...

As is typical of the Weinstein Bros., no indication of a U.S. release anytime soon (had test screenings in New York in early 2009, finally premiered in Asia this past summer). If/when it does show up in North America, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a different edit...
