No blu ray release? I've been waiting years for a good special edition of this movie. I just may have to get this. It beats the US non-anamorphic/barebones release we got screwed with.

Yeah, that's my concern, too. Especially considering that it's not uncommon for the extras to be locked, even if the main feature isn't. I guess I'll be waiting for a positive report, or a Region A version.

I have the anamorphic UK disc, but considering the simultaneous BR release, I'd hope this gets a remastered SD transfer. That may get me to upgrade.

the first time i watched this was on VHS 
really looking fwd to the Blu Ray. hope it makes to region A as well with all the extra goodies.
