why are they in the PAL format?I thought most/all dvd's from that area were NTSC? Also do the Zoke Culture dvd's have periods after sentences for subtitles (sorry, its a pet peeve on asian dvds)

China is PAL, HK is NTSC

This is a nice set. I especially like the deck of cards. My only criticism is the box tray that holds the dvd set and cards is difficult to put back into the cardboard sleeve.

I just ordered this from the ebay seller "hongkongposter". How long did it take for you to get it. I live in chicago. Also hows the picture and the subtitles?

This arrived in my mailbox aproximately 14 days from the purchase date. So it it a good 10-14 days to arrive. (I've ordered fro Hongkongposter before without any shipping issues). To see similiar screenshots from Zoke Culture 2 disc "Red Cliff" 2 set go here:

I like the sound and picture quality would give it a 8-10 rating.

I'd like to ask people who have bought this set whether the English subtitles are okay? I'd hate to buy a DVD from Asia with Chinglish subtitles...

Also, do the interviews with the actors/director have any English subtitles, or are they all in Mandarin..?

Would be most grateful if someone could help me with these questions, as I'm really tempted to get this set of dvds...

I can't even read the menus to help out in any fashion. On disc 1 it seems that there are two play movie buttons. the entire disc, except for the english subtitles, is in chinese. If some one could translate the menus for me I would be able to tell you how the discs are

Don't know if this helps at all but, I just bought the blu-ray set of Red Cliff @ yesasia and they have English subs.
