Are there any Hungarian dvd websites that ship to the states?

Why is it that a majority (if not all)of the Hungarian on-line dvd stores will not ship outside of Europe or to the USA? Examples: www.express.hu, www.netpiac.hu, www.dvdabc.hu etc to name a few. Most collectors of foreign dvd's don't seem to focus on this countries many fine film offerings either of their own product or re-packaged product ie: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/internation...y-edition.html
or "Kontroll" by Nimrod Antal or "Sorstalansag" directed by Lajos Koltai(2005) to name a few notable titles.

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

There's a guy over at the Criterionforum.org that lives in Hungry and will pick up titles and ship them to the States. I think you have to be a member to reach this, but here's his trade thread.

If you want Hungarian DVDs, find Andras...he's the Hungarian hook-up at DVDtalk!

I don't understand Hungary as well. If I can order dvds from Malaysia, Israel, Egypt, and South Africa, I think we should all be able to order DVDs from Hungary in this day and age, especially when they have a huge film industry and many of their native movies have English-subtitled excellent quality dvds! Come on Hungary!

You can also try the following ebay seller (if the movie you're interested in is not listed, he will order it for you):

On-line business here in Hungary seems to be a little different from other countries, maybe because of the lack of credit card culture? For example on Xpress,I dont see any credit-card option, they ship COD and do not use Postal Service(instead they ship with a local courier).
I might be able to help out, strictly as trading (ie.getting for me R1 stuff). Classics as well as new films are available with English subs. KONTROLL SE is out of print(single disc is available),and TAXIDERMIA SE is too expensive for me to buy multiple copies (I've sent one out to Buddhawake and that's it,maybe if Budapest Film decides to dump them on sale I can get more.)
