Is the R2 version of I Stand Alone anamorphic?
 

I just rented and enjoyed Gasper Noe's I Stand Alone. However, the R1 disc is non-anamorphic. I usually don't have an enormous problem with non-anamorphic titles, as I don't mind putting it in "wide" mode (ie. zooming it to fill the widescreen). However, since I Stand Alone is subtitled, it makes zooming impossible without obscuring the subtitles.

So I noticed the movie is also available in region 2, and was hoping you guys know if it's anamorphic or not. Thanks.

The French R2 is anamorphic, but isn't English friendly. There's an English friendly Australian release that is anamorphic, but reports state that it's cropped.

Pick your poison.

I have the Australian disc, and it looks a hell of a lot better than the R1 version I remember first watching. I don't know about the cropping, as I haven't directly compared it with anything else. Some screen grabs would be awesome.

Bumping this old thread to ask if the R4 disc is OOP? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Any chance this movie will be released on Bluray?

I've been awaiting a blu-ray release of this and Irreversible for a long time now. Doesn't even seem to be one in France. Maybe when Enter the Void hits home video this year.
