Sad news - Linn Haynes
Some of you might know Linn Haynes, Linn1 on this forum, either by name or reputation. Sadly, he died in an auto accident yesterday.

I don't even know what to say...while I never met him in person, Linn was always helpful to me in the "old-school kung fu threads". This is horribly tragic news. I always anticipated that some day I would be buying the ultimate bible of kung fu cinema written by him as his knowledge was so great. Sifu Linn will be greatly missed.

I equal the sentiments. Glad I got a chance to meet him and spend some time with a truelly great guy. He will be missed.

He was a good source of information, I certainly learned a lot from his knowledge of classic-era Kung Fu movies. Life is short, the guy was posting here 72 hours ago...now he's gone.

I never met him personally, but exchanged posts with him on various forums. A very genuinely friendly, knowledgeable guy. It was nice to see that he was actually starting to get paid for his expertese on martial arts/HK cinema, as he was involved with a number of DVD releases, and other things. Very sad.

Wow, that's terrible. I've read and enjoyed many of his posts on this forum and others, he had a true love of Asian films and an impressive knowledge of them. He'll be sorely missed.
