i have a panasonic dvd-rp56 and would like someone to get me the code to unlock it and make it region free.

Are you sure it can even be "unlocked" not all players have codes that can do that?

I'm such a nice person, I did the Google search for you. Here you go:

You'll need the Panasonic Service Disc #2. Once you've obtained that do the following:

1. Load the Panny Service Disc #2.
2. Using the remote press "SETUP" / "ACTION"
- Go to "DISPLAY" menu
- Select "ON SCREEN MESSAGES" then press "ENTER" button
- Press ">10" found on the bottom right coner
- Press "6" button
- Press "4" button
- Press "3" button
- Press "8" button
3. A password window should appear.
- Password is 3192 (region free) and 3193 (macrovision free).
- Press enter twice.

Now, you're ready to watch those imports.
