Amazon UK has plenty of MoC titles on sale too. Twenty-four Eyes is 68% off, and many others are 54% to 40% off. Does every title you're interested in have to be on a fire sale simultaneously to make it worth it for you?

After someone in the Nosferatu thread said all of their MoC titles had been $9.99 on sale, with free shipping from cdwow, I couldn't really bring myself to shell out 30 bucks per title on whatever it was now on cdwow. There were a few on Amazon.uk that looked cheap enough, however, so I went ahead and ordered Holy Mountain, Faust, and the Vigo set for 45.96 pounds. We'll see how much my credit card gets charged.
Edit: Just ordered the Philips DVP5982 from Best Buy's web site for $60.48 shipped.

If I contributed at all to convincing you in to going region-free, I'm pleased. You won't regret it. Those titles you ordered are excellent. The documentary The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl is even better than the feature it's coupled with, The Holy Mountain, very fascinating. Great companion piece to Triumph of the Will.

No DTS :(
I would have purchased this otherwise...

Just set up my Philips player for region free play. The USB port is very useful, as it allows me to check out movies as soon as I download them - watched Godspeed, You Black Emperor! this way yesterday. One drawback - is it me, or is there no eject button on the remote??

Try pressing Stop, Stop. That works on some models w/o dedicated Eject buttons. My Philips-made Magnavox works that way. I stumbled across it in the manual. Who'd a thought? :)

Incidentally, their Pana Forum is still available at http://www.dcevolution.net/panasonic/forum/

Cheers ...

Well, I know this is a thread from a long time ago, but I just wanted to say that I finally tried method 2 with the Palm and we couldn't get it to work. :(

I guess I'll have to figure something else out ...
