Shunji Iwai Early Works - Initial (english friendly?)
Does anyone know anything about an English friendly release of Shunji Iwai's early works collection called Initial?
I really want to see these, and the above release is unfortunately without English subs. Is there any word, or hint of hope that this will be released in HK or Korea with Eng. subs?
Revived now in DVD are Director Shunji Iwai's initial drama works which were put on the air on TV from 1991 to 1994.
The works recorded in DVD are eight such as "Unknown Child","The Man Who Came to Kill","MARIA","A Tin of Crab Meat","A Summer Solstice Story","OMELETTE","The Snow King" and "Lunatic Love".
A special disc of the long-time interview with Director Shunji Iwai is attached. And each work is provided with Iwai's own commentaries about the background and unknown production episodes of the works. These features and the gorgeous binding must make all the funs be unable to wait to obtain this DVD set. You can never talk about the Iwai's works without this splendid collection!
