Ingmar Bergman Collection (R2) £124.76 shipped from Amazon.co.uk

This could go in international, but also quite a deal... I have been watching the price on the Bergman R2 set for sometime. The cheapest I have seen it is around £190 (except for one Amazon UK marketplace seller, who is cheaper but does not ship out of the UK).

Amazon UK is currently having a sale on it, £142.97. Subtracting the VAT and adding shipping, total for me was £124.76 (right around $250).

Thought someone else might be interested.

NOTE: if you don't have a region free player, or an R2 player, this set will not play on your dvd player.

Note, however, that there appears to be a Blu-ray Seventh Seal on the way from Tartan UK. Region free? Who knows.

thought: i had cries and whispers and wild strawberries criterions. sell those for around $20 a piece, the net price of the set is now around $210, about $7 a movie. not too shabby!

Yes, that is one of the best looking DVD Sets of all time. I have mixed feelings about buying Ingmar Bergman DVDs however. With the exception of The Seventh Seal, most of them aren't very re-watchable to me. Most are amazing films, don't get me wrong, they are just so bleak and depressing I don't get the urge to watch them twice.

I've been waiting for the price to go down on this for ages... so when it finally goes on sale, I have no money to buy it.
