this is an aussie release via EzyDVD. So its Region 4 here !!!

pretty OK price of $A50 - it will be interesting to see what the demand for this will be like - as many of the other EzyDVD 'exclusive' sets are still readily available online and in the stores.

Another thing that interests me - whether it will contain all those extras that are on the best single releases of 3 Terminators. I just checked EzyDVD and it seems the box is packed with them, but question is - is it packed to that extent when you can be satisfied having only this edition and not buying others. I'm not the greatest Terminator fan, but definately would like to have the best release.

it seems to be the following:

the region 1 terminator special edition just split over 2 discs.
the region 1 terminator 2 ultimate edition split over 2 discs
the region 1 terminator 3.

it doesn't appear that there is anything new. At least to us in region 1.

eh, is there still alot of edge enhancement in t2? Might pick this up (i sold my t2 ue, and kind of regret it because the dts track was much better then the current dvd, and always wished terminator 1 was a 2 disc and not a 2 sided dvd. pal speed up doens't really bother me.

Studying all the three Terminator pages on www.dvdcompare.net I came to a conclusion it's practically impossible to pick just one release of every Terminator movie. They are truly of those films you have to buy a couple editions of each (if you're a completist certainly). I was wondering if the R4 would solve this problem i.e. you'd have everything in one package - best video and sound, all the possible extras etc. Guess not.

You'll find that these 3 Terminator titles in the EzyDVD tin set come from three different local companies : MGM for the first film - Universal for the 2nd - and Columbia for the 3rd.

The MGM version is merely part of FOX's Definitive series (not sure if this title is a rehashing of a previous version - but the adding of DTS sound on this title is IMO over the top !!)

The other two releases are versions which have been out for several years.

Your call as to whether you think its the best packaging of this trilogy !!

Then I guess this box will be just fine for me! Another interesting question - how come all the three films come from the different companies? I recall Friday the 13th box set which not included the 9th part because Warner Bros. owned it if I'm not mistaken while others were Paramount's. I seem not to remember when a box set included films from different releasing companies.
