Just ordered this from CDWOW. Has anyone seen it?

Good enough film I suppose but I have a significant complaint about it that would prevent me from giving it a recommendation. There is a huge continuity issue regarding the hair of the lead child actor and I found it incredibly distracting and it really hurt the overall experience. It looks like the film went through re-shoots and that too after passage of significant time. The child lead performer must have at least three separate haircuts in the film, and they sometimes change within a specific scene. One is a sort of marine flattop buzzcut with pretty bare sides and also he has other scenes where he has a full but short head of hair and no bare sides, and maybe even a third that is somewhere between the two. You'll be watching a scene and he'll have the crewcut thing going on and then there is a cut to a close-up or longshot and his hair is fully grown...and this happens numerous times. At first I thought it was setting up some sort of twist but then I had to surrender to the idea that it was just sloppy filmmaking...no matter how technically well-done the rest of it might be done. You can even see how the child actor has aged when he has the fuller head of hair so the re-shoots must have occurred many months later. I can accept the re-shoot process but why no attempt to match the hairstyle. Okay maybe the kid was on another shoot and couldn't change his hair but to see it play out like it did in the final product was completely unacceptable.

Other than that, if you are a horror fan and are looking for scares then, though it is initially set up with some promise, you can also bypass this film. It is sufficiently creepy enough at times but it really is more a sort of coming-of-age drama. I've read it compared to "The Devil's Backbone" and on a superficial level I'd concur but I'd clearly pick that film over "Dorm". There were some other things that left me curious about the film but they are likely not worth commenting on.
