Scary movies recently released?

Have there been any scary releases lately? I've been watching a lot of movies lately and I'm in the mood to watch a scary movie. The last one I saw was Tale of Two Sisters. Wasn't really scary, but I thought it was a good movie.

There was one Korean horror I saw at BlockBuster the other day, but I forgot the name of it.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

You should definitely see "Shutter" if you haven't yet!

Just looked at reviews after you suggested it. Seems like a Ringu/Ju On/etc. type movie with the scary girl. I'll rent this one.

Are there any recent horror movies that are flat out scary?

Yeah, it's a good movie. There's already a U.S. version in production.

If you liked Tale of Two Sisters you'll probably like Into the Mirror - also a Korean picture. As far as I know it's not yet released in the US. Tartan has released it in UK, and there's a pretty R3 Korean edition with a mirror-cover.

I haven't seen Tale of Two Sisters, but I did enjoy/also recommend Into the Mirror.

Btw if you liked these two, most likely you'll enjoy Acacia. Ki-hyeong Park who directed it also had shot Whispering Corridors which became somewhat classic and the first film of the "trilogy". Acacia, released five years later, is a step forward to my opinion. And as for "trilogy" Memento Mori is my pick. Korean horror films are not quite like Japanese, they're slow and time is required to get used to them, but they are so beautiful...

It's not a recent release but High Tension is a pretty nerve-wrecking experience.
