also, if you do have it, who did the colorization?

dvdtimes has a review of it. can't link it now as their site is having maintenance now.

I think having 'the unrestored print', and 'the colorized print' as bonuses are crap, unless it was for comparison shots only. not for the entire movie.

but then again, maybe some people will really enjoy having that as an option.
imagine, a generation will come along who want crappy ntsc video tape or scratched up 16mm looking editions as bonuses, to remember what it used to be like.

So Universal doesn't own the rights to it here then?

Nope. Warner released it some time ago in R1 with no extras.

They do great Special editions, and would love to see it get the treatment

Nearly $30 seems a bit steep, I order mine from CD-Wow for $8 with the help of a coupon :)

I assume no announcement has been made by Warner for a re-release then?

No, and I wouldn't expect one either. These supplements are likely unique to the Universal version, and since Warner didn't issue that DVD all that long ago, it's probably not going to be seeing a re-issue anytime soon.
