DVD Talk Forum - Confused

Lately I've been searching the wed for Int'l movies. I have my favorite movie makers such as Luc Besson. I will usually go to a film distributor's web site (Europa/Pathe/Fox) under dvd and read a breif synopsis on the film. I 've found films such as Les Filles du Botaniste and La Boite Noire. Luc Besson was involved with these films and others. The Europa/Pathe site shows that the dvds have english subs but Amazon France does not show English subs under specs. This seems to be a problem on many Amazon Fr listings. Is ther a better way to know for sure when purchasing a dvd from France?

French editions for both of them have no english subs.

Check at www.dvdrama.com if they reviewed those titles in the sub-menu "Test DVD".
