The Scent of the Green Papaya?

Guys - who has the best transfer of this movie? I saw the VHS copy many years ago and I want to add it to my collection. There was a boxset mentioned somewhere but I do not recall where.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107617/

Thanks

There is a a R2 French double feature release of The Scent of the Green Papaya and Cyclo.

Transfers on both films are great. I think this is the best version availible, but I could be wrong if something else has came out.

I'll also highly recommend the French double-feature. One of my favorites!

The French 2 disc (with Cyclo) is very nice but the image is only 4:3/letterbox. Cyclo is 16:9. It's also an expensive set.

There is a UK disc from Second Sight here (on special for £6.97) but I don't know anything about that.

Does anyone know about the Russian DVD? I know it's widescreen, but is it anamorphic?

Gaumont's Papaya is 1.66:1 (non-anamorphic) and Cyclo is 1.66:1 (Anamorphic).

I've been curious about the Second Sight release for sometime now but haven't found anyone who actually owns it. I'm guessing it's matted but at that price - depending on the color - it might be worth it.

I have the Second Sight disc. It's 1.66:1 non-anamporphic and the picture is quite soft, but definitely watchable. I've never seen any other release so I don't know how it compares.
