Superbits From Japan Starting at $18.90

I received and email from play-asia today and saw this listed. Thought others might interested in getting some decent superbits for cheaper than usual.

Yes!!! I Can Finally Get That Bewitched Disc!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Taxi Driver and Close Encounters (i.e., the two films I'd be interested in getting) remain priced at a premium... $46.90.

(In what can only be a freakish coincidence, so does "Bewitched".)

Does anyone know if the Japanese Superbit DVD version of The Adventures of Baron Manchausen really kicks ass or worth the upgrade from the Region 1 DVD?

digitalfreaknyc 01-05-07 10:49 AM

are these not region coded? Like the other superbits?

i think they are still coded R2 but they put out different titles and perhaps more than R1. I would wonder why not just wait for HD or BR versions?

sadly it isn't, the sound is good, but the print used for the superbit edition, is very very disappointing - a lot of specks and dirst mar the image.

dammit, why can't taxi driver be cheaper?
