Up for order @Sendit.com for ~$24.50 shipped Int.

Also, HMV have a Guillermo Del Toro boxset released on the same day containin Pan's Labyrinth (I assume the same release as above) along with The Devil's Backbone & Chronos (both apparantly with new transfers and new extra features) for ~$42.60 Shipped Int. So if you dont have the other two films, may be worth looking at that as it seems an excellent price compared to other retailers (~$10 cheaper).

Del Toro was working on the three disc set when he screened Pan's up here back in September. From what I understood the 3 disc set would have some cool extra's, unless there is still going to be another set announced shortly. Also, it is safe to assume that since Paramount had it's hands in Pan's, it'll be a HD DVD release?

We can hope, but Paramount hasn't embraced day-and-date releases yet.

If I have to wait until March, I might as well wait until April or so, whne the R1 will probably come out.

I may check this one out once the specs are released. I've been waiting for this one since seeing the Spanish trailers in '05 and being that I missed the US release by moving again, this is an ASAP one for me. I'm also expecting a double dip on this one like Hellboy. The DC was definitely an improvement over the theatrical cut there IMO, but it was great getting several different commentaries on each version.

Not listed yet at www.dvdgo.com You could also ask at www.xploitedcinema.com

I assume the UK disc will be best for non-Spanish speakers as the Spanish DVD extras are higly unlikely to have English subtitles.

Amazon.uk is listing their Reg 2 release as featuring DD 5.1 sound and a director's commentary. Unless the US edition comes out within a couple of months, I think that I'll be ordering this either from Amazon.uk or cd-wow.
Best,
Scott

Thanks for the links but I want this version since it has DTS and my Spanish isn't too bad.

DTS version:

I checked out that link, and it says that there are indeed English subtitles. I might end up double-dipping, getting this one for the DTS soundtrack and another for extras like the commentary.

I'm not going to buy the first edition and wait it out a bit. As I mentioned when he was up here he spoke on a 3 disc set coming, and I have to beleive someone will give this the digipack treatment. I've been burned too many times buying the first edition of any film, and this is one where I want to own a nice edition. I REALLY want an hd dvd of this to be honest

IŽll skip the Spanish DVD.

What good is 2nd disc if doesnŽt have English subtitles? Most likely it wonŽt.

Well, if you understand Spanish it's worth it.

it says its 2 discs.
I'm willing to put $ down that the eventual R1 will be 1 disc while everyone else gets 2 discs

i would buy that boxset but there's going to be a HMV exclusive version of Pan's Labyrinth since HMV has 2 listings of it.so maybe i'll buy the HMV exclusive version then i'll buy the boxset when in drops in price.

Well, it's not the 3-disc but it's better then 1. The only question I have now is what Japan will bring to the table, even though the price will be more then the Korean.

Spectrum? They're Korean (obviously), and I have many dvds from them - they are mostly high quality, with great video and sound. They also have talented art designers that do great work with packaging and menus.

It looks like the same set is available from YesAsia for $31.99 (doesn't mention all the extras but it appears to be the same). Since dvdfromkorea.com would hit me with an $11.99 shipping charge and YesAsia has free shipping it would be $5.00 less from Yesasia. YesAsia gives the release date as February 23.
