I have not been able to use it. It keeps telling me it's "not recognised."

Thank you for being kind enough not to point out what an idiot I was. I won't be as kind to myself.

That link doesn't really seem to supply specific rate info. How do the compare with amazon.co.uk?
And does HMV remove VAT for US orders?

A) I punched in shipping to Texas and it is 3.75
B) No.

The Code is now live.
I picked up The Chaplin Collection - Complete Box Set for £35.74 after shipping.

Non-removal of VAT and high shipping rates make this deal considerably less exciting than it first seemed...

They don't remove VAT because the prices do not have VAT included in the first place. Even those of us in the UK don't pay VAT. This is because HMV ship from Guernsey where VAT is not charged (it's the same for Jersey).

For items over £18, we in the UK would have to pay VAT but HMV pay this on our behalf.

Already got shipping email for my order - the Jean Vigo collection (for under $30US shipped) and Heimat1(for under $67US shipped). By the way, the 3.75 shipping per item is in pounds, not US bucks. You can find some deals if you look hard, but I was hoping some of the Masters of Cinema dvds would be more reasonably priced - they're still cheaper at CDWow.

Not worth it for non-UK residents.

Their shipping is too damn expensive to order anything. The discount gets eaten by the shipping cost.

Better to use a supplier that offers free shipping

When I first went region-free, they were one of my favorite UK suppliers, but since the move and the new shipping rates, I haven't been able to justify ANY purchase with them. Too bad, because their service was always excellent.

So, bottom line - I'll pass on the sale.
