Amazon.co.uk/Customs
I have about £500. in gift certificates to use at Amazon.co.uk, but how much I can I spend on a particular order before I have to pay customs/duty taxes when it comes into the United States?

There doesn't seem to be any magic number. Depending on where you live, you may get away with a lot, or you may get busted each and every order you place. Speaking from experience, I've never had to pay customs on any shipment from the UK (from Amazon or otherwise) that was under $100 (US). Typically, my orders range around $40-$60 (US). So you might want to spend your certificates in 10 batches of about 50 pounds each.

My orders are typically in the $40 to 60U.S. dollar range so I wasn't sure. I contacted my local post office, and they were of no help. I had an order that was about $120 USD but I'll have to split them up to be safe.

I was looking at the same site that cine posted. After looking at the tariff schedule, I am left with the impression that there's no duty on DVDs. Because I am probably wrong, here is the link to ask them yourself:
