Aclaimed actor-director Nanni Moretti's IL CAIMANO is set to be released in Italy (in two versions-a special 2DVD set and a single disc) on October 17th. The film won six David di Donatello awards this year, including Best Film, and was nominated for Palm d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Italian DVD of The Caiman has English and French subs.
The menu is in Italian only so I suspect it is an Italian edition only.
The French R2 will be released soon. But there is no guaranty this edition will get English subs.

Saw this film a couple of weeks back. Not bad at all, and very watchable and accessible (however, a little bit of knowledge of Italian politics/Berlusconi is needed for maximum enjoyment.) I'm sure fans of Moretti will be very pleased with it.
