SHWING! I jumped on this faster than a dog going through heat... For those that haven't read the other amazon.co.uk thread, you can also get the Nightmare on Elm Street collection for an additional 6 pounds. I ordered both...

A few other bargain suggestions: ALL X-Files seasons are 11.04 each (they show as 12.97 but are 11.04 after backing out the tax)... I paid 6.04 to ship all 4 of my big heavy box sets overseas, so that ain't bad... I know they are slowing dropping in price here, but I only needed 8 and 9, and those won't drop for a while. Also, the UK ones are packaged like the US ones. I'd like mine to all be in digipaks, with all the extra features...

never ordered through Amazon UK before, but seeing X-Files for £12.97/season has made me jump aboard. Thanks, OP!

To those who have ordered in the past on likely price mistakes (such as this 3rd rock deal), does Amazon UK go forth with the correct charge, or will they cancel the order like Amazon.com does? Thanks

I also had to jump on this one - these discs have no extras (like the US release) but for the price I couldn't resist. I see it says ships in 1-2 weeks - hopefully they actually have these and honor the price. I've noticed that Amazon.uk often has good sales on their DVD box sets.

I think Anchor Bay remastered the image for the R1 set, plus added loads of extras so that would be the better edition to get for the hardcore fans with mucho extra dollars in their pockets.

I have a region free player I have never used, figured this was a good excuse to try it out. The X-files sets were temting, but I don't have time to watch them all now anyways.

Update: Though I have got no notification yet, the order in not in my account and clicking on the link in the email brings up a page saying the order has been cancelled. Will we get any coupon, etc becomes the question now?

I ordered 3rd Rock From The Sun & The Nightmare On Elm Street. Got the confirmation email, but when checking my account on amazon only Nightmare On Elm Street is showing. I guess they cancelled 3rd Rock From The Sun without any notification.

Typical amazon....They never honor the price.

It's cheaper because of all those minutes you lose due to pal speed-up

Just received a cancellation email - guess it was too good to be true. It says in part "We hope you will find this an acceptable solution (ie. the cancellation) and look forward to serving you again in the future." - not much of a "solution" if you ask me.
