Is My Sassy Girl available in a region free DVD
I was wanting to get My Sassy Girl as a gift for my sister but she does not have a region free player and I was wondering if there is a region free version available.

Don't know how the DVD is since I don't have this version, but it should be ok.
And the Director's Cut is R0

my sassy girl is a very good movie.
Warning on the Korean Starmax Director's Cut:
The English subtitles are actually English captions for the hearing impaired - which work fine, except that they include subtitling noises and stuff, along with putting the name of who says what onscreen sometimes....
I can also, redundantly, confirm that the HK disc is definitely R3.
I was unaware of the Indo/Malay disc. Are there any reviews of it anywhere?
The R1 is probably being held up by Dreamworks because Gurinder Chadha (Bend it Like Beckham) was supposed to be doing the American remake for Dreamworks this year - though I have to wonder if that is still happening, especially with Dreamworks just recently being bought out......

thanks for all the info. I have the NeuNeo multi-region that I ordered from HKFlix.com and I order most of the korean movies that come out but I never think about region code and I dont have a US DVD player so wanted to make sure I got my sister a DVD she can play. If she gets into korean movies then might try and talk her into getting a cheap multi-region player later.

Starmax just recently released the region free version of this dvd.
I have the PMP Entertainment version but I would rather go with the Starmax just for the extras.

She might be able to get her player unlocked with a push of a few buttons. Mine took 5 seconds to unlock.
Just look up your player here:

For those wondering, I asked about discussion of unlocking DVD players a while back and I was told it was okay.
