Angelopoulos on DVD
When Theo Angelopoulos took Q & A's at the showing of 'Trilogy: The Weeping Meadow' at the 2004 London Film Festival he said that, despite his belief that films should be seen properly in a cinema, he had agreed to his films being prepared for DVD release. My US VHS edition of The Travelling Players has terrible quality, and I am really looking forward to getting hold of those early hard-to-see early Angelopoulos films on DVD. Does anyone know how the 'preparation' is progressing?

Well, Artificial Eye will be releasing the bigger part of his films ....there are a few R1 films coming out as well.
This is a very decent disc already out:
and this is coming out in a few days in R1....
Now, as far as his very early films, again look for AE early next year.
