Will the new Dr. Who be available in the U.S.?
I noticed that this fall the complete first season of the new Dr. Who will be available in Europe. Will that be coming to the U.S. anytime soon. I would hope so. But seeing that it isn't airing on any U.S. channels it might not.
Just want to know if I need to import that UK set.

It is definately coming out for Region 1. It will have ALL the extras from the R2 Set.
WHEN it's exactly coming out is up in the air. Originally BBC Worldwide stated that if they couldn't find an American Network to air the show by early 2006, it was possible that we'd see an R1 release by Spring of next year.
NOW BBC Worldwide wants to wait a little longer and continue to search for an American Network interested in the show. That means that we probably won't get the Box Set until late 2006 (either Sept or Nov) or even early 2007.
If you NEED to own the Box Set, import away.
