Regarding the Limited Edition Phantasm Box Set (The Sphere!), I believe this may be it's listing on Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...098744-0606055

There are 2 box sets listed, and this is the more expensive of the two. I pre-ordered already, since I can always cancel it if it's not the right one.

*edit* I just checked the product number on ABUK. It is indeed the one!

Trigger 09-01-05 02:16 PM

I'm gonna wait for the R1 book for that sex and the city set.

Is the BTTF Japan set framed correctly? Also, is it a tin? And what price can it be purchased for, and from where? Thanks

Marathon from Korea

The set will be out 11/25, retail at Y14,800

4 disc DVD set,
The fourth disc's specs are still TBA,
but the 1 2 3 discs seem to be virtually identical to the US release
(The old Japanese set had a DTS English track, but they cut a few features for it)
There is no confirmation so far if the DTS tracks will be included for this one.

New stuff included in the box:

-Delorian Number Plate
-Original Postcard Set
-Reprinted letter that Doc sent to Marty, 3 pages, and with the envelope
(replica of the original used in the actual film)
-Figures of Doc and Marty
-'Back To The Time' Booklet with interviews, photos, trivia, etc
(presumably in Japanese only)
-Paper crafted Delorian model

I dont think the case is metallic. no word on it so far

Cameron 09-04-05 12:10 AM

ok so does the daggers box set have english subs on it?

cooey 09-04-05 03:22 AM

Yes :) But only on the film, not on the extras

That's a nice Species that I have to get, but I've never ordered a Japanese import before. Does anyone offhand know my best bet for getting this?

Species w/ statue $187 (free shipping)
Doesnt find the statue on amazon, only the dvds. Is this really an official release? You pay alooot for the statue in this case. Around $100.....

If i get the staute beside and its not in a nice box this sux bigtime!

Merdalf 09-05-05 05:05 AM

It's an official release. The amazon product description just doesn't have a photo of the statue yet.

Anyone try to remove the circular silver sticker from the upper lefthand corner of the HOFD box? I tried but it left a lot of residue/glue and I'm afraid to use lighter fluid on wood because it might remove the varnish. Any tips? :)

It's too bad the Species set doesn't have a statue of Sil from part one.

I agree...

Boy, why do these Japanese Limited Edition Sets have to be so darn expensive....

HOFD Deluxe Wooden Set looks great... layoyo.com shows it as PAL format.... while moviesville.com says NTSC. Can anyone confirm which format it is?

Goo-gone is excellent! I use it for stickers, cases, disks. just don't use too much or let it sit for too long.

Goo-Gone is essentially lighter fluid. I wouldn't use that on wood either.

Yes, use peanut butter. Let it set for a couple of minutes and wipe it off.
