NTSC PS2 - PAL problem.
 

Hi guys.

I sold a region 2 coded DVD to a guy in Canada.
I think he expected his PS2 to play Pal DVD. :)
However i do realise that your TV's are mostly in NTSC only. So that would have been a problem as well.

Anyway is there a hack for the PS2 to play PAL ?

Yup. Mod it. Actually, I think PAL isn't the issue more than the region code, or am I wrong? I'm pretty sure PS2's play Region 0 PAL out of the box. Either way I guess you need a mod so really it doesn't matter what the problem is I guess. lol

I do know people who use the Ps2 to play PAL imports so it does work. I mean, you're not liable anyhow. He messed up. Tell him to use a PC or something. The PS2 isn't a good dvd player anyhow

NTSC PS2s cannot play PAL discs. My brother has an NTSC R2 and it couldnt play PAL R2 discs.

correct, they can only be modified region-free
