Nordkraft (Denmark)

The Danish production Nordkraft aka Angels in Fast Motion, a hard-core drug drama, is now up for preorder on Danish e-vendors around the net. Directed by a personal favorite of mine Ole Madsen, who co-wrote the script of Kira's Reason: A Love Story I am eagerly anticipating this DVD to hit the shops.

Official Site and trailer:
http://www.nordkraftfilmen.dk/

English subbed trailer:
http://www.trust-film.dk/player/stream/asx/176_400k.asx

For those of you that are yet to see Kira's Reason...make sure you do not miss this film, esp. given the fact that it is now available in R1 land. Superb production!!!

Ciao,
Pro-B

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. I've been waiting for this.

Any Danish e-vendors you like better?

I can't find English on the first one, and can't find the pre-order on the second. I'll wait till closer to the end of the month to pre-order. Thanks again for the heads up.

Just email the guys at Laserdisken ... no English on the site but they are totally fluent, very friendly and VERY helpful. I've been using them for all my Danish orders and they're great.

Anybody know if Nordkraft will be subbed? I've been itching for this from the moment I first saw the trailer ...

My preliminary info indicates both Danish DTS track and optional English subs. The info however is from the same source that indicated English subs for Pusher 2...so I would wait until official specs are posted.

You can also order from DVDOO.DK. They ship worldwide as well. Don´t know about the shipping, though.

With their new shipping....i'd rather come and visit you and pick a copy on the way back. If you know what I mean

Ah, Pro-B, feel free to drop by any time. I´ll buy you a Danish beer.

Oh, notice Nordkraft is out on a 3-Disc (2 DVD + OST) aswell as the single disc.

Rather than start a new thread....Is it likely (as you tend to see with US movies) that the Pusher trilogy will be released as a set -- hopefully with subs all around? I'm reading reviews on twitchfilm.net again and they're starting to interest me, but I don't really like double dipping too much.

thanks.

I highly doubt it....certainly not a Scandianvian-English friendly set in a near future. I think that it is more likely that we see a UK disc coming up rather soon.

Ok, rather than another thread -- again -- how about this one: "Adam's Apples" -- subbed dvd from Europe anytime soon or eventual US release following the TIFF appearance?

btw, just noticed your (new) loc -- a few of my cousins went to school there.

The Danish dvd should be out soon...October 17...English friendly, but I won't be reviewing it for DVDTALK.

I'm feeling like an idiot for opting for the single disc edition now ... though I am definitely one of the ones who sees a LOT of visual similarities to Requiem for a Dream.

Did you order the 3DVD or the single disc? You can only come knock on my door and request a refund if you ordered the Deluxe set

In all honesty it wouldn't have been aware of this release if not for Pro-B.

So i'd like to thank him for his insightful review and helping to deplete my bank funds
