Lucie Aubrac (Claude Berri, Daniel Auteuil)

Anyone a fan of Lucie Aubrac?

Always been a favourite of mine and was happy to see it's got an Australian Region 4 release. It was supposed of been released on UK DVD but it is as rare as rockinghorse shit.

The transfer is nothing amazing (burned in English subs too) but it was great to catch the film again. Looked correctly framed.

Daniel:

The quality of this disc is terrible. I gather you have already seen the Aussie disc...but I personally won't consider it at all. The only other (worst) Aussie disc I have had the misfortune to deal with is....Beaumarchais.

Won't consider it ie you've not seen it?

It's vastly superior to VHS and it's framed correctly. Yes, not perfect, but it'll do for me for now.

I actually owned the disc and later on recommended it to Niche as the Aussie disc was the only English friendly version at the time. Plain and simple you have to be a hardcore fan to justify owning it...just my opinion, of course you are free to decide for yourself.

There are two R4 editions of this DVD. The first one with this cover

was released 2 years ago by Shock.

The new edition (which is twice cheaper) with this cover

was released this year by MGM.

I was referring to the first edition. If this new MGM offers a new print and NOT a repackage of the old transfer I would be interest to know more.
