It helps if you've seen Shaun of the Dead because the first half of the film often plays like an extended episode of the show. The show made lots of pop culture & entertainment references while also maintaining its own vibe. Probably my favorite episode featured references to 2001, Fight Club and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. All wrapped up in an episode that featured battle-bots. The show is often laugh out loud funny and often quite moving. You really do care about the characters. Great show that due to music clearance issues will probably never make it to the States in its original form.
